IFS Research Grant

The International Foundation of Science (IFS), a non-governmental organization founded in 1972, supports Young Scientists from developing countries for their research efforts in the fields: Crop Science, Forestry/Agroforestry, Food Science, Natural Products, Animal Products and Aquatic resources by providing a research grant upto US$ 12000 (for one research period from one to three years) for purchasing the basic tools of research equipment, expandable supplies, and literature.

Applications for Research grants are submitted directly to the Foundation (IFS) which depends on a world-wide network of scientific advisors/experts to evaluate the proposed research project.

Young, talented Indian scientists (normally under 40 years of age) working at a University or a Research Institution, who wish to avail of the IFS Research Grant facilities, may obtain further information from the following:

Deputation of Indian Scientists Abroad under
Bilateral Exchange Programme during 2000-2001

Applications are invited from outstanding scientists for deputation abroad during the year 2000-2001 in all fields of Science & Technology including Engineering, Medical, Agriculture for short term visit (2-4 weeks for senior scientists) and long term (2-6 months for junior/younger scientists) under the INSA Scientific Collaborative Exchange Programme with overseas Academies/Organizations in Brazil, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Kyrghyz Republic, Nepal, Netherlands, Poland, Philippines, South Korea, Russia, Slovak Republic, Republic of Slovenia, Ukraine and UK.

Information Bulletin and Application Forms may be obtained from The Assistant Executive Secretary (IA), Indian National Science Academy (INSA), 1 Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi-110002 personally or by sending a self addressed stamped (Rs. 6/-) envelope marked "Application for Bilateral Exchange Programme". Completed application forms (3 sets) should reach the Academy (INSA) latest by October 15, 1999.
