MINISIS for Museum Management

OTTAWA - MINISIS Systems Group - IDRC and Museums Alberta today announced that they have signed an agreement to jointly develop a new database system to facilitate the mission critical tasks of museum association management. The planned application will incorporate modules to manage membership (organizational and individual), granting, events planning, professional development, fundraising, job tasking, and demographic information pertaining to individual cultural institutions.

Mr. Christopher Burcsik, IDRC said "Now other Museum Associations both domestically and internationally will have a benchmark from which to automate their own management processes... Consequently, the cultural industry now has another application available to save cultural institutions considerable time and money. We are very pleased to have established this alliance with Museums Alberta. We are certain that the end product will be first-rate and place Museums Alberta as the leader in cultural membership / association management.

"We are excited to be working with MINISIS to develop an integrated database solution for our association’s complex information needs... No off-the-shelf application was able to address Museum Alberta’s need to track our extensive granting program in addition to providing solutions for our other diverse association management requirements. We are especially pleased to support a Canadian company with a proven track record." said Adriana Davies, Executive Director of Museums Alberta.
